The Community of Explore
Explore. Dangerous. Intense. Busy. Survival. Rock Climbing.
The diction people use to describe Explore as a program often falls into the genre of physical fatigue and danger. Unfortunately people don’t look much deeper than this. They stay on the surface and don’t realize how much more there really is to this life-changing experience. Explore is not just a program but rather an experience which can change people for the better providing they are willing to walk with it, and keep an open mind. I have been changed spiritually by understanding concepts of the Bible, and digging into God’s word individually as well as in the context of community.
I’ve also changed emotionally, realizing what the causes are of my sin, my reference points, and knowing how to deal with those areas of my life. I’ve found and understood what it means to give and receive love, and this crucial fruit of the spirit has been graciously given and poured out on me by our heavenly Father. If you were to ask me to describe Explore I would say it is all the words mentioned earlier as well as so much more. Explore is a place of community, a place to find God and connect with him in so many unique ways. Explore is adventurous and also a place where you can find rest, even if that is not physical rest it is a place to be in the presence of God daily.
