Explore is a great program that pushes people into a place where they can really process life. To get there we go through adventure and conversation about God and His character. When we are put into close community and challenging situations we grow in understanding ourselves. Through the struggles and all the change it is important to remember why God has us in our positions and how He can help us through them.
In all of life Christians are pushed to grow and mature in their faith, and this will be especially true of everyone going into Explore this year. God uses all kinds of situations for good and He has a purpose for each one this year. As we mature and develop into followers of Christ we get stretched in all kinds of directions. We may feel like we want a situation to be over. However, we can not have the growth without the journey. The journey is a hard area to be in but this is where we can build a personal relationship with God.
As we go, we cannot let what we think is our weakness keep us back. We can take reassurance that God forgives us even when we fail. It is my encouragement to everyone to dive in to whatever God has for you this year. Push yourself to be challenged. Be ready to fail and reflect on it with an open mine. Trust in God because He is faithful. Even when you feel lousy or overwhelmed know that by looking to the grace of God you don’t need to be bound by weakness. ‘But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weakness, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” 2 Corinthians 2:9
