Explore | Outdoor Leadership Studies: One, Two and Four Year Degrees

Explore provides excellent programs to disciple students and prepare them to be Christian Outdoor Professionals.

At the core of the Explore program is a desire to see individuals become true leaders who influence those around them closer to the values and nature of Christ’s Kingdom. The training for Explore takes place in both the academic classroom and the backcountry classroom. Through this training we strive to facilitate the student in both right thinking (true belief about God, oneself and others) and right living (living according to truth before God, oneself and others).

We believe our training to be valuable to anyone, not just those interested in an outdoor career. We do, however, prepare students to become highly competent Christian, Outdoor Professionals. Our one year grads are in high demand to serve in wilderness programming positions immediately after graduation. Our four year grads, both in terms of wilderness competence and ministry ability, are ready to provide top level leadership, skill and competence to any wilderness program, be it Christian or secular.

So please take some time to look around the Explore Blog. On this site you will find information, stories, pictures and videos about the Explore program. Whether you are prospective student, an Explore alumni or a family member of a current Explore student, we hope that this site will demonstrate what we are learning and doing in the Explore program. We will include current updates from Students, Interns and Directors in the Blog section of our site.

Like everyone else on our blog, these are actual Explore students.
